I am not from networking background. Could you please explain about Gateway Load Balancer?
I saw in AWS notes that, it works under layer 3 and listens for all IP packets across all ports and forwards traffic to the target group that’s specified in the listener rule but how it is different than ALB as in ALB also we have an option to select target as IP ?

Could you please clarify if you are talking about the “Network” load balancer or the new “Gateway” load balancer? If it’s gateway, then this was just released a month ago and is currently not part of the Associate SA curriculum and will not come for certification exams for another 6 months at the least. Either ways I hope to have it covered in the next live session that will happen within the next couple of months.
